Meet Sandile, Bheku-Baba and Boitumelo – all on our deaf “Super-Artisan” programme, which qualifies at least 2-trades, but up to 5-skills sets delivered: Design, Sculpting / Carving, Goldsmithing, Gemstone Setting & Engraving.

Who said Women cannot cut it in the traditional, so-called male-dominated artisanal sectors ?

! THEY WERE WRONG !

Meet Puleng & Bokang – although representing only approximately 30% of our student total, they represented 50% of our finalists at the prestigious PlatAfrica awards November 2018 – with Bheku-Baba being the first deaf student to make the finals – ever !

THE SIMPLE, EFFECTIVE TRAINING MODEL

With a 90%+ placement rate of our students after graduation, we know that EVERYONE is trainable, provided you follow a simple formula:

1. Use a tested model: Developed over many years by Masters of their Trade;

2. Training must be initially provided: By these Master Craftsmen – who must then à

3. Train the Trainers: Choose THE BEST, and Train to “Super-Artisan” Level – this ramps training impact by increasing the numbers;

4. Passion to teach by You, passion to learn by the Student – selfless, effective, knowledge transfer, is vital.

 And That, Is IT !
