The Le Kap Lifestyle Fair is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the social calendar, attracting luxury aficionados from far and wide. This opulent affair is a perfect symbiosis of gourmet food, fine wine, whisky, artisanal drinks, fashion, automobiles, design & décor along with musical kur and show jumping. Nestled on the piedmonts of the Stellenbosch mountain range, the historic Blaauwklippen Vineyards will play host to the second annual Le Kap Lifestyle on 6 December 2014.

For the first time in the country’s history, a high-end event brings together all the key lifestyle elements you wish you could have in one event – food, wine, fashion, whisky, champagne, cars and horses - and offer them up to a group of like-minded people who enjoy the finer things in life. The Le Kap Lifestyle Fair leaves no one wanting more, covering all the finest life has to offer – men, women, couples and families - in the perfect day out.

Imagine discovering a one-of-a-kind couture dress whilst relishing the finest French champagne, fine wine or savoring gourmet canapés by one of the Cape’s finest chefs. Relax on leather couches while sipping the perfect single malt whisky, before preparing for a game of French boules on the estate’s lush lawns. The event’s Brand Partners include prestigious brands such as Bentley, Veuve Clicquot, Glenmorangie, and Belvedere Vodka amongst others, and marries it with 10 of the Cape’s top wine farms and 5 of the country’s top chefs.

Celebrated South African chefs such as Brad Ball, Chef Patron at Peddlars & Co, Gregory Czarnecki from Waterkloof, Malika Van Reenen from the Cape Grace, Roland Gorgosilich from the Grande Roche and Steve Jeffery from the Bistro at Blaauwklippen will showcase their virtuosity as they prepare gourmet food in the event’s Exhibition Kitchen in the piazza area. A selection of their food will be served to guests throughout the afternoon, together with an array of gourmet food markets, which will offer additional menu items for sale on the estate’s sprawling lawns. Wine connoisseurs can also look forward to tastings from 10 of South Africa’s top wine estates, which is one of the highlights of the day.

Various artisanal drinks will be on offer and alerting the senses will be the sound of horses’ hooves pounding on the estate’s sprawling, lush lawns as the Musical Kur (dressage) show enraptures spectators. Riders will showcase their astounding skill as they perform a pattern of choreographed movements to music, which will be a prelude to an exciting 6-bar Showjumping competition to follow later in the afternoon. There is simply no other sport that carries the prestige and class that equestrianism does.

Fashion cognoscente will enjoy a carefully curated contemporary experience as they gather on the wine estate’s scenic terraces to watch a fashion show featuring South Africa’s top designer labels. This innovative ramp show will add an element of glitz and glamour to the chic affair. Unique to the Le Kap Lifestyle Fair – fashionistas and guests will be able to browse the fashion emporium after the show.

Gracing this year’s Le Kap Lifestyle Fair will also be some of Bentley Motors’ finest luxury motoring marques to delight guests throughout the day. Motoring enthusiasts can get up close and personal with the latest releases by Bentley as they showcase their finest collection.

Don’t miss this one of a kind event at the start of the Christmas season. R500 per person buys you access to the event, including all the elements of the programme of events, such as wine tastings, whisky tastings, food tastings by our 5 chefs, musical kur, a fashion show and Showjumping, to name but a few.
