Sunny Stout Rostron is a well known coaching practitioner with six books and an international client list behind her name. She has a wide range of experience in leadership and management development, business strategy and executive coaching.
With 18 years’ experience as an executive coach, Sunny believes there is a strong link between emotional intelligence and business results – she works with executives and their teams to help them achieve individual, team and organisational goals.
Sunny manages an executive coaching practice, while continuing to develop new education and supervision programmes for coach practitioners. She plays a leading role in building the emerging profession of coaching in South Africa and abroad.
Currently an active member of the International Coaching Research Forum (ICRF) and the Transitional Steering Group (TSG) for the Global Coaching Community (GCC), Sunny’s passion is to develop the knowledge base for coaching through research and the critical reflective practice of dedicated coach practitioners.
Her latest book, Business Coaching: Wisdom and Practice, has received global accolades for its easy-to-read and highly practical formatting. The book provides business coaches with a full range of skills and resources required to be at the cutting edge of this emerging profession.
The book is about the essential “practice” and “practices” of a business coach. The authors speak from experience, with practical examples, analysing the complexities of the coaching conversation – the basic tool of the business and executive coach.
The authors believe that business coaching can make a huge contribution to leadership competence inside organisations and, in this book, comprehensively integrate their practical experience as business coaches with their own research and teaching.
Many local and international endorsements have sung its praises.
“The world of business coaching can rejoice – the book we have been wanting and needing is here… There are many kinds of bibles in the world – this will be one of them,” said Nancy Kline, president of Time To Think, Inc. and author of Time to Think: Listening to Ignite the Human Mind.
“This is a masterful work and is a must-read, essential for anyone wishing to help others in any corporate, educational or group setting. Very inspiring to read,” was the verdict of Professor Mark Rittenberg, president of Corporate Scenes Inc. in California and professor at Kellogg School of Management, North Western University, Illinois.
